News & Politics / MSNBC Most Opinionated by Wide Margin
« Last post by Ted S on March 18, 2013, 04:43:17 pm »
PEW Research has come out with their annual State of the News Media report.

What should come as no surprise to anyone who watches the big three cable news channels, MSNBC comes in at number 1 as the network with the most opinion programming.  Fully 85% of their programs are opinion based whereas FOX is 30 points lower.  CNN is the least opinionated of the 3 with 46%.

If you're like me and watch all three channels none of this is a surprise. You can read the entire report here:

Hey, it's MSLSD, what do you expect?

As for Ed, he notes he'll be able to spend more time in his beloved North Dakota.

I guess Prouty has become somewhat of a regular on MSNBC.

What an embarrassment, not Prouty he's just a dupe, MSNBC.

News & Politics / Ed Schultz

It been a while since I watched an entire hour of Ed Schultz but I did it last night and the payoff was big.

Ed devoted the entire hour to an interview with the guy who secretly taped Romney speaking at that private dinner where Romney said that 47% of the population weren't his natural constituency.  I'm sure you all remember the tape because the left went nuts.

Well the whole interview was a wall-to-wall love affair. I'm sure this guy, his name is Scott Prouty, had to towel off after the interview from all of the slobbering that Ed and his other guest did over him.

Prouty was there as a bartender and decided to start taping after he heard Romney tell a story about some factory overseas where there was a barbed wire security fence keeping people out. Prouty played the part of the video where Romney made that claim, which is kinda funny since that was supposed to have been the thing that made Prouty start taping, but as expected that discrepancy didn't interest Ed Schultz.

Scott Prouty also made it clear that he is definitely not a publicity seeker.  Yeah, he hammered that point over-and-over again during his *TELEVISED* interview.

Prouty also made the startling revelation that he is an ...... independent, but votes mostly for democrats.  Who'd a guessed that?  He also revealed that he is probably going to start working with some guy who ...... runs a labor union.  Oh my goodness, this guy is completely unpredictable!

The Twitterverse was abuzz with chatter heaping loads of praise on Prouty and Ed.  Prouty was called brave over-and-over again and Ed was a hero for putting him on TV.  Some numbskull even said that the Pulitizer should be given to Ed for the interview.  Yeah, a Pulitizer for an interview with some schmuck who was getting paid to wait on guests but instead chose to record a presidential candidate correctly expressing the fact that the 47% who pay no income tax, will likely not warm up to his tax plan. The Pulitizer comment seems totally ridiculous but hey, Obama was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize after logging a whopping 11 days in office so a Pulitzer for Ed, maybe not so ridiculous after all.

I haven't seen so much ado about nothing since the Balloon Boy's antics brought him fame and fortune and some scrutiny from the police.

But the real highlight of the night was Ed's promotion to weekend duty. That's right, Ed will no longer be part of the weekday prime time lineup, he's now going to the highly coveted 5PM Saturday afternoon time slot!  What a huge promotion this is for Ed! Five PM on Saturdays, his viewership ought to number in the dozens!

Congratulations Ed, I haven't worked that primo weekend shift since I was a pimply-faced 15 year old bagging groceries!

Here's a comical video showing various women firing a shotgun.

Take note of the woman near the end firing the so-called assault weapon.
