Yep, the word liberal comes from the word liberty, which means the absence of coercion.  We all know that modern liberals are really about equality, not liberty. That is why I think the word leftist is a better fit for today's modern liberal or progressive.  I try to use the word leftist instead of liberal whenever I can.

And they have no shame.  Out of one side of their mouth they emotionally rant about their love of the beloved constitution to include the first amendment while out of the other they twist the teachings of Jesus to fit their agenda and Jude those who disagree with them.
