Context is everything, and it's society that makes the judgements. Feel free to speak your mind here on this board as long as you don't get me or the host into legal trouble, but in speaking your mind, expect society to render judgement on what you say.

And society changes with time. As an Al Sharpton promo points out, slavery used to be acceptable; blacks riding at the back of the bus and Jim Crow used to be acceptable until we stopped accepting it.  It was a discussion with majesty (DAMN I wish he'd register here!  but I know he's busy with his music these days) regarding the use of "the n-word" when I brought up this point, and it was before Sharpton came up with his promo.

Majesty is of the George Carlin school of thought on that...it should be said so often that it loses its meaning; I, on the other hand, who am otherwise from the George Carlin school of thought on a number of things, recognize that no other term has the manner of history and connotation attached to it that this term does.  It's a term that society found acceptable until we stopped accepting it and currently it's not accepted. Society has made its ruling.
