It's central to your claim that marriage as an institution didn't exist prior to medieval times.  It's also an answer to your indirect question about polygamy in Judaism.

I didn't get an answer about polygamy in Judaism better than the ones I get in the Old Testament, with which much of Judaism's scripture agrees.

Marriage as the institution didn't exist outside of your religion, as I said, and I have only your say-so without any citation of any Jewish scripture to back it up.  As for The Bible, it didn't exist prior to revisions thereof prior to feudalism.
