Kentay, this is like Clara attempting to make this election about bush. Try as she might it can't be done, it is about Obama. And try as you might to make this about the first Ryan plan, it ain't. That plan is long gone and tabled. He has a new BI PARTISAN plan that is different than the one you post about.

The reason that kentay and the others want to argue the old plan is that the new plan DOES NOT abolish Medicare at all. It is one of the available options. So they can't pull one over on the public.
This discussion has put Obama on the defensive. They now have to argue the plan and the fact they don't have one.

That's true. And on this specific issue we have been hearing for 30 years how the GOP was going to end Medicare and kill seniors. 30 years at least. To steal a kentayism that is the biggest line of my lifetime. We have had three republican president. The house and senate. They have had ample opportunity. And the only side that has done anything to hurt it is Obama dems who took 716 billion from it.
