Empathy and compassion are not unique Christian traits but rather traits developed by higher organisms such as dogs, some humans etc.
....a species follows what they are thought which is why in such circles as Republicans it often seem as if they are exhibiting evolution in reverse.
And in Democratic circles they've evolved the self-righteous-holier-than-thou trait that has not yet been observed in dogs.
... but is manifest in cats!
Egyptians used to worship cats as gods and cats have never forgotten that.
