Let's see; women vote for the first time in the mid 1920s. The stock market crashes in 1929. FDR is popularly elected in 1932, brings us the uber-liberal New Deal / welfare state, and quickly turns a tough recession into the Great Depression. Yeah, it must be just a fluke that welfare state and the Great Depression followed closely on the heals of the maiden voyage of the women's vote.
Decisions made based on emotion rather than reason have consequences. And yes, what I'm saying here is that women are more emotional than men. Not always, but in general. Sorry, it's not a fashionable thing to say but it's the truth. Think about the meaning and the origin of the word hysterical.
I'm also not saying that women shouldn't be allowed to vote, I'm simply saying that suddenly allowing a large swath of the population with a different mindset to be in on decision making for the first time will change the nature of the decisions being made. It's no accident that the gender that nurtures our children votes for politicians that desire for a nurturing government.
Lastly, if you listen to the clip above, Rush seems to stop speaking in mid sentence, there pause, and then he comes back. Obviously it is an edited clip. Unless I hear the unedited version it would be wrong to be overly critical of it and lets face the facts, Media Matters employs the most overworked editors in the business.
Men have always controlled everything
Everything whether good, bad or evil since the beginning of man, was started by and implemented by men regardless of skin color or religions. It's as if men have ignored women and have treated them as second class citizens no matter what religion or culture they live in. No person or groups of men is right all the time and if allowed to continue will make more and more mistake, all slanted to benefit man and against anyone of different color, religion from them including women. Without both genders and people of color having their point of view expressed and used to help change our country and the world for the better. If only men stay in control they will continue to treat anyone different from them differently and we all will be treated as a second class persons and only used to service them and increased their own heirs. This also applies to those who wrote our religious books were men not women and were and still are biased with mans best interest and mentality for active or inactive wars with other peoples religion and others lives, because they don't serve, they just start wars I always thought that the USA was different and was slowly improving the rights, interest and authority of minority including gender who are Us citizen. Right now it looks like the men on the right are unwilling to share power with anyone and are surly arming themselves for a civil war that is sure to come as they wrap themselves with the American Flag under the false umbrella of religion. kentay
Let's face it, there
IS a gender gap. Women alone would have given us President Gore, President Pompous Windbag, etc. Ugh.
