Don't you mean "going from the Gingrich/Clinton reduction in borrowing"? There was never a year when the debt didn't increase.

I meant what I said because that's what Dubya claimed it was when he used it as an excuse to cut the nation's throat by giving the rich his infamous tax cuts. Dubya--you know, that guy the Tea Party wants to distance itself from but whom Republicans thought was a good idea for a second term.
