Since it is no longer 1787 great improvements could be made so no; it is not asking much, glad you agree! :band:
If you think its easy, see if you can find one politician promising "If elected, I will repeal the Bill of Rights."
Seems to me a re-write of the Constitution to omit those parts that the Amendments have repealed couldn't hurt, and scrapping the 2nd Amendment would improve things considerably.
