I've said at t he outset that Eastwood's performance was brilliant, but I'm damn sure he wasn't making any case favorable to the Republican Party given that he was channeling Dick Cheney twice in that skit, and given his political track record (an Eisenhower Republican with libertarian leanings) I put him in the Ron Paul camp. The points he made were valid points regardless of party affiliation, and the question before voters is: did the current president leave the nation better off in 4 years than it was 4 years ago?  IF NOT, then ya gotta let him go.

Thing is, the answer to that question is YES we are better off than we were 4 years ago.

I think that you are the first O-surrogate I've heard make that claim.  Several were given the opportunity earlier today and they all punted.
