OK, this sure isn't going to be anything like four years ago.  His first substantive point is to denounce tax cuts.  This tact didn't work for Walter Mondale, shall it work for O?  Now he says that the only President to face a worse crisis than he did was FDR.   Hmmm.... Honest Abe didn't exactly enter to peaches and cream, methinks.

Now the pitch for clean energy.  Boring.  But the crowd went wild!  Weird.

So far this is the same stump speech he's been giving for weeks.  Am I the only one who's surprised?  I thought this guy was supposed to be the greatest orator since Cicero.  Damn, JOE BIDEN's speech was more engaging than this!

He's claiming that he's made great efforts to trim the budget.  OK, he is committed to cutting the defense budget.  He claims to favor tax reform, but now he's gone out of his way to promise to preserve the mortgage interest deduction!  Say what?

He's going to raise tax rates on the wealthy back to the Bill Clinton level.  But that's a lie, it ignores the Obamacare tax surcharge on investments which is scheduled to go into effect in 2013.

More stump speech platitudes.  This is nothing like Michelle or Bubba.  The crowd in the convention hall is going wild, but I have trouble imagining very many people at home sitting on the edge of their seats.  I have trouble even seeing Tweety's leg tingling.

"The election four years ago wasn't about me.  It was about you."  Oh, RIGHT!

Holy cow, he's accusing his opponents of being foreign policy novices.  That's pretty gutsy.  What the hell was he four years ago?

OK, he's finally gotten around to advocating hope.  Now he's sort of working himself into a bit of an oratorical frenzy but, honestly, this is so not anything like 2008.  Wow, this is the end!  That was IT??  Mitt Romney's speech was more exciting than this.

Personally, I am so ready for some change.
