That's because Dixiecrats fled to the Republican Party when LBJ signed the civil rights bill in the 1960's.  Comparing today's Republicans to Know-Nothings is apt, as comparing today's Republican Dixiecrats to previous Republican liberals is just as bogus as comparing today's liberal Democrats to Dixiecrats.  FAIL

ONE elected individual who was a Dixiecrat crossed the aisle.  Just one.  Can you name him?  Additionally, without republicans the Civil Rights Act would not have passed. Stop revising history.

Stop revising history?   Hell, that's what they do best.  What our resident reviser does is find stuff to quote...acting as if it's all gospel because he found it.  He doesn't understand even half of the big words, but he knows how to use "copy and paste" every bit as well as he ever did.  The individual I'm referring to will NEVER admit that he's glued to leftist and communist philosophy no matter what they do and how big the whoppers they tell become, but his actions here and on every board he's participated in show it perfectly.  I tried a few days ago to offer an olive branch but he's tried to do nothing other than shove it up my yingyang ever since. Your posts in reply to that were -- unfortunately -- right on the mark.
