Mississippi, and the PBS program Need to Know did an analysis of this by pointing out that, basically, the Republicans can't rely on "Southern Strategy" or Lindsay Graham's "angry white guys" anymore as part of their base. It's one of the reasons why Republicans are all lathered up over immigration "reform" and it's not just about Mexicans. Refugees from warm Middle Eastern/North African climes have settled in the southeast and it makes Republican "Southern strategists" squirm like crazy.
