Senate is in session today and under consideration this afternoon are the rules of filibuster, sending Mitch McConnell into a howl.

If the rules are changed, no single GOP Senator would be able to block the appointment of Susan Rice as Sec. of State, which would cause a louder howl from the GOP minority. If you think the GOP hates Harry Reid now, just wait til the end of the week. One of the reasons the GOP prefers Rice to fail is that the next in line for consideration is John Kerry and they dearly would like to vie for his seat should he vacate it.

With stakes this high, the GOP might as well just howl at the moon.

Dingy Harry isn't putting rules before the Senate until the new Congress meets next month.

What's going to happen the next time there's a GOP majority?
