As for the dead babies, there's no question that dead is dead and a grieving parent is a grieving parent. I agree completely on that, and if you take a totally pacifist anti-war position then I guess there is no difference. Most people, however, do not view the war in Afghanistan as purposeless violence. Do you believe in a right of self-defense on either an individual or a national level?

I believe our invasion of Afghanistan was a response to the Afghanistan-based attacks on our country launched on September 11, 2001. Do you disagree with that?
