And Democrat/Republican has nothing to do with why there's a good thing here: because people, both Dems and Reps, are finally putting the NRA in its place. It's not an elected entity and it has no business dictating to those we elect as it has done.

The NRA is an organization of like-minded individuals who pool their resources to lobby congress to make laws that favor their interests or prevent laws that harm their membership. The NRA has as much right to court lawmakers as does any other interest group.
Except a recent Wall St. Journal poll discovered that they're not like-minded, and you do toss in Michael Moore as being like-minded with management. Once again, conservatives fall into the land of unreality about things.  The NRA leadership does NOT represent its members.
