It's because of he's being Lucy with the filibuster reform football. McConnell dragged him over to the Dark Side. XD

Perhaps Dingy Harry is thinking about his future role as Minority Leader.
Better: retired.

That's a value judgment with which I concur; however, you are missing my point.  Dingy and a bunch of other Democrats are loath to abolish the filibuster since they want to have it available the next time they need it.

This is exactly what makes the "2 party system" rubbish--well, one of many reasons. It's not a "system" when it fails to work, and it doesn't work in either case except for party power plays.

It was a "states rights" conservative idea for each state to designate all of its electoral college votes in favor of the presidential candidate that wins the majority, but now cons are pushing for proportional electoral college voting because it would have been to their advantage in the handful of states that cast electoral votes for Obama...and now Dems are screaming about them trying to steal elections.

This is a "2 party SYSTEM"? There's never a states rights proponent when one's called for, and proportional electoral representation is what the nation used to have, so that's not "election stealing".  A pox on both parties.

OK, now you're changing the subject from the filibuster to the Electoral College.  With respect to the filibuster, I don't think the issue is the two party system; rather, I think the issue is a more general nod toward minority rights.  The House of Representatives was explicitly designed to reflect the popular will of the moment, but the Senate was not.
