American Christians tend to have an Islamic streak in 'em when it comes to women. They couldn't be trusted to vote, they couldn't be trusted to drive, and they couldn't be trusted on the front lines of a war. The NRA is okay with rifle-packing mammas as long as it's only for recreation.

They're also anti-communism, which is why they never talk about kibbutz when they cheer for Israel. Basically, they're schizoid.

I've had many discussions with Christian fundamentalists about Israel, and I've never found any hesitation over the topic of kibbutzim.  Assuming, of course, that the fundamentalist remembers what they were.

The picture slightly reminds me of an experience I had in 2001.  My wife and I had taken a group of graduating eighth graders from our school to Israel, and we were having lunch at the McDonalds in Miveseret Tzion.  In walked a group of twenty or so hayalot [IDF babes] in uniform with their Uzis slung over their shoulders as pictured.  Even though they weren't dressed quite like the hayelet above, they still cut striking figures; ie. I nearly choked on my Big Mac.  Nothing like a hot babe with an Uzi.
Zionism is the National Liberation Movement of the Jewish People.
