I happened to listen to El Rushbo for 5-10 minutes on Friday and his theme was that conservatives would be out of their minds to object to her on those grounds. She's not his first choice but the necessity of uniting to defeat O trumps all. That is El Rushbo's view.
I don't think Romney wants to open up another front about Bush and how his policy placed us in the mess were in, do you? Because Romeny has some of the same policy that he wants to follow of Bushes and pretend its his policy. kentay
I do agree that her identification with Bush constitutes baggage. Ditto Rob Portman, to a lesser extent.
Bingo. But where did the anti-Dubya Tea Party disappear to these days? They would have beat any Democrat to the punch of running against not just Dubya but all of his staffers. Pretending Dubya didn't happen doesn't just counter Dems--it also splits up Reps.

You need to remind the Tea Party--and often--that principles go out the window when the whole point is just winning. Seems to me that was their original complaint against the old Republican Party. I'm already sold on O as better than Romney; hurry, you need to re-convert the principled Tea Party people.
