Romney's UK Gaffe Redux

...happened on BBC World America this afternoon. I tried to locate an online video of the report, but in vain.

Katty Kay, the anchor, cued up a report by some guy reporting on Romney's veep choice and while the report as such was prim, proper journalism, certain words describing Ryan crept in that weren't flattering...primary of which was referring to Ryan as Romney's sidekick.

The Brits were not amused and the Brits remain not amused. God Save The Queen from a Romney administration.

And this HuffPo article brought to my attention that Bain Capital was launched via a great deal of El Salvador blood money. He's got a lot in common with Reagan's pet, Ollie North.

The story about the birth of Bain Capital, citing Romney as a founding member (and therefore the architect of a company that continued with Romney's architecture even after he left) and exactly what capital was used to start up Bain.  Blood money, death squads type of money.

Right.  How does that become another Romney gaffe?

It doesn't. It means that no matter what ever else you might call what Romney did while in the UK, the Brits still don't like it even now.  Ergo it's equal to a gaffe.  I'm sure that, after Sarah Palin, you're abundantly familiar with the saying about how you can put lipstick on a pig and it's still a pig.

You think the BBC piece was tit-for-tat against Mitt?  That would be journalistic integrity at its finest!

No I do not think that. I think it reflects the dim view the Brits had beginning with Romney's gaffe. Well...gaffeS. There were a raft of them.

Well, I think you're saying the same thing.  Anyway, I thought the "gaffe" was that Mitt expressed concerns about security at the games.

That's only part of it. Blabbing about MI5 was another, and it doesn't end there, either. The gaffe was pissing off the Brits, and apparently they're still miffed at Mitt. It's hit grudge level.
