Nice try, but cons considered work to be pro-business, and Kennedy wasn't a con. Back in the 1950's, each party was predominantly con or lib, but in each party you'd find liberal Democrats in the minority and Republican conservatives in the minority. Don't try to pretend that the parties prior to LBJ were even comparable to today's polarized parties. Not even close.
Today cons don't even stand for what cons used to stand for anymore, so don't pretend they do.
