No Jump In Polls For Mitt Romney Following Convention
« on: September 03, 2012, 03:28:21 pm »
September 2, 2012

With no precise agenda presented to the nation in the final night of the convention, other than the simple lines that Mitt Romney used endlessly during the primary debates (yup, I watched all of those and can almost repeat the trite phrasing) comes polling news that should not surprise anyone. There should have been more meat on the bone from the nominee. Details of where the candidate wanted to take the nation should have been on the agenda.

The reason, of course, that no such plans could be exposed as they are so draconian and dreadful that it would have made the election all but over before September even began.

I have a feeling you're going to be severely disappointed at the result in November, Ken.  I don't think America is looking for a cuddle bear for President, and -- sure enough -- Romney isn't one.  They also aren't looking for a continuation of policies that have led to (nominally) 8.3% unemployment and a diminishing of the financial fortunes of Americans by 40%.

We'll see, won't we.

Oh,and ken...I hope you're coping with too much hurricane and rain...peace, bro

A reminder for kentay:
I fully support going back to ALL, that says ALL THE CLINTON TAX and spend policies that led to the economic boom in the second half of the 90's.

Hey--next thing we know even Lib will show up.  Ya think, Michael?  :rotfl:

{If he does, I wanna pinch the bigger, official DBS logo offa him, ha}

I'll betcha F&BWC wouldn't dare.  >:D

Basically, Obama's base is pissed because he's so cozy with Wall Street, but the gazillionaires who are attempting to puppet-master the GOP are, in fact, running against Wall Street.  How sweet is THAT?!  :woot:

Welcome Michael!

In my opinion the reason that the GOP didn't get much of a bump is because not many people were watching the convention.

30 years ago the three the television networks devoted time to the conventions so people had two choices; watch the convention or read a book.

Today there are hundreds of cable / satellite channels and there is a whole world of on-line offerings as well as DVRs and NetFlix where people can spend their evenings.  A wide variety of choices means fewer eyes are on any one thing.

The other reason people don't watch the conventions much anymore is because nothing of importance happens there.

I predict Obama too will have the bounce of an uncooked chicken breast hitting the countertop.

Mike, great to see you.  I am doing everything I can because I think Romney would destroy this country because he has no core values except his family and his  Church. So he be just like Bush was during his first four years when Chaney was running the country and Bush was taking credit. Bush last four years were better when Cheney was no longer running the show. Mike I know you know this but I have video's of Romney saying one thing and then changing what he said 180 because he was in front of a different group. A man that has no core values  can be easily manipulated by others and Romney would be their puppet and others would be pulling strings. If I not mistaken one of the right winger said the very same thing when they suggested all they needed from Romney is for him to sign his name, they take care of the rest. I look it up if you didn't see or hear that. Well any way President Obama has my vote and we both will know on Nov 6, 2012. Kentay
