Power Tools & Me
« on: May 29, 2012, 10:15:20 pm »
Yesterday I had a run-in with my table saw.  It won.  Got 9 stitches in my thumb, lost a lot of skin and tissue but I still have 10 digits!

Typing is difficult so that's all for now.

Sorry to hear that. Table saws are famous for taking out thumbs and index fingers, which is why people usually feed the work wood with something other than their hand.

Oh man. Years ago I remember when one ripped through his index finger. You have my sympathies, bigtime.

OMG, it was so late at night when I posted that, I didn't notice that I didn't say who "his" referred to. I'm talking about my dad. My dad did that.

You're welcome, and take care. :)

Got the medical bills this week. My insurance will be paying roughly $500 and I'm paying about $600.  I'd like the total to be less but I'm satisfied with the distribution.  I'd be even happier if I had to pay the entire bill myself but had the option to purchase insurance that only covered catastrophic accidents and illnesses. I don't have that choice though.
