Syria was one of the then-secret locations that the Cheney-Bush regime used for "extraordinary rendition" and now Assad claims that there's a western plot to overthrow him, and Russia so far has been sympathetic to that view. Russia has but to observe what happened in Egypt to have grounds for making that assertion because Egypt was also under the dictatorship of a U.S. favored regime only to see the U.S. turn on its President when the uprising occurred.
Both the Russians and the Syrian regime agree that the U. N. is a piece of
****, which puts former U. N. Ambassador Bolton in agreement with the Syrian regime and the Russians. Bolton's not alone in the Republican Party in his opinion of the U. N. either, so there ya have it, friends n neighbors: Republicans are Red in more ways than one. :duck:
