9-17-2012 the day Romney and his minions lost the election
« on: September 18, 2012, 06:40:24 am »
9-17-2012 the day Romney and his minions lost the election. When you write off 47% of all Americans then you don't want to be President you want to be dictator. I am sure there are many white over 65 Republicans that pay no taxes because they are on SS. But anyone that would write off 47 % of the American People, you don't deserve to be our President. kentay

Yep.  Romney blew it.  He told the truth and embellished a bit.  It's like when your wife asks you whether she looks fat.  The answer is always NO even if she actually is gaining weight.  In politics you always lie and Romney didn't do that.  He's a lousy politician.

The good news comes in 2016 because Biden is next in line for the dems and Ryan will be up for the GOP.  That's a match-up I can't wait to see.

So kentay, since the elections over in your words does this mean you are not going to endlessly post anti Romney threads?
A reminder for kentay:
I fully support going back to ALL, that says ALL THE CLINTON TAX and spend policies that led to the economic boom in the second half of the 90's.

I caught a few minutes if the insufferable Lawrence O'Donnell show last night.  In the addled mind of O'Donnell this tape of Romney speaking to his base was the political equivalent of the 9/11 attacks.

Where were you when the first building was struck?  Where were you when Romney spoke the truth?

Now this may indeed turn out bad for Romney.  I don't know how it can be portrayed in a positive light given the fact that the MSM will all over this story like white-on-rice for the next couple of months but it may not catch fire with the voting public.

We can only hope that it will turn out like Fast and Furious.  A snoozer-of-a-topic for the voters.

Bearing in mind the two sets of standards for the candidates I seem to recall a NYT's blog where is was argued Obama has given up on the white middlecass vote, although Obama himself never said it.  The argument about the 47% not paying taxes and supporting Obama policy is not a new argument.  But never voiced so openly and to the point.  I think it will be a snoozer because people are still centered on the economy.

I think it's telling that the states that get the most tax money back are Republican states. It's also telling that the Republican states are the states that pay the least amount of taxes. Yet the Republicans have been in charge for at least the last 25 years in those states. So what does that tell all of us about Republican policy? They are only using people by your leaders, who could care less about you. They use religion, abortion and gays as the drugs to keep you in stupor so you don't wake up and  turn on  your master. To me it's just a modern form of plantation politics. Wake up all you zero taxpaying Republican voters and stop supporting people that could care less about you and are only using you. And you heard it directly from your Republican leader when he was talking to his wealthy friends about you.  kentay

The issue isn't that Romney spoke his mind. The issue is that among the fundraisers in the room for his speech, he pissed off a donor, and it's likely he pissed off more than just the one that handed in the video.

Mitt Romney's 47 Percent Disproportionately Live In Republican States

I think it's telling that there is no correlation to be found in your map that shows Republicans are getting the most money back and paying the least amount. What it tells is that liberals do not understand inferential statistics.
The Founding Fathers established the first Dept. of Homeland Security. They called it "a Well Regulated Militia."

It's valid for Oklahoma, whose Republican majority regularly brags how it takes in more Fed dollars than it kicks in. This is not news.

But there is no correlation to party affiliation. It's like saying "Because 51% of voters in California are Democrats, then all the murderers in California are Democrats." Perhaps if you sampled the populations and surveyed party affiliation and taxes payed/benefits received, then you could infer something from the Red State/Blue State parameters.

Oh, stop shooting holes in their ten year old talking point.  They don't have much else.
