DN show today
« on: November 29, 2012, 04:09:33 pm »
absolutely fascinating interview with julian assange today!

http://www.democracynow.org/

he seems so calm under the circumstances.

he comes across as extremely intelligent.

his views about the internet being a tool against the people is enlightening and he discusses cryptology as a way to fight back.

the woman was annoying-she only wanted julian assange to bite the hand that feeds him. assange kept telling her that the fact the ecuador has a less than stellar human abuse record was irrelevant to the bigger picture-all nations at this point have abysmal human abuse records and no more so than the u.s. itself! this is the problem-they are getting good at it! we are almost at a place where they can do it at will with nary a repercussion or negative consequence! bush got away with doing exactly what hitler did (in mini)!

hey, coleman-i see u've been dealing with the bigotry issue everywhere.

here's my take...they-(r and r)- were displaying their bigotry, and dh was bowing to and defending them... and it is true that the same states that supported the confederacy/slavery seem to be the ones supporting repugs today-especially the more bigoted ones-overt or covert.

What amazes me no end is that I had a bigger problem with their defense of the Protocols than wbc did. Whoa. :wut:

The South is a generally conservative region so it votes Republican.  What's supposed to be remarkable about that?

You think it's unfair to call the South "a generally conservative region"???

I don't. What I find remarkable is you throw in with people who are also prejudiced against Jews for no good reason.

Me, I have reasons that are strictly political and atheistic and having to do with Israel, rather than unfounded baseless prejudice.
