I brought up Ron Paul because he has, for decades, been considered a Republican outlier and disruptive, hence his moniker "Doctor No"...and also erstwhile founder of the original Tea Party before the crazies took over, and there's no love lost between establishment Republican leaders and the Tea Party as it now exists

Ron Paul's primary strategy of co-opting delegates is also considered disruptive by the Republican Party.

And while Republicans are making much of Joe Biden, they're going to let Paul slip in under the radar with his planned calamities.  Or are they?  The Republican Party has already swept Dubya and Akin under their Big Rug (forget the Big Tent), so I guess Ron Paul can be shoved under there too, huh.

Ron Paul was a legitimate candidate for the Republican nomination and remains today a longstanding Republican officeholder.  I think he's a whack but so what?  Your comparing him being at the GOP Convention with Joe Biden's shenanigans is absurd.
And your characterization of Doctor No is overly generous. He's been regarded as disruptive by his own party for about as long as he's held office, but like Akin's position, he is where he is only because of his constituents.  Not to mention that he's got more national support from rogue Republicans than Akin ever had. ;)

Here is what is going to happen regardless of you Ron Paul hysteria.  Romney/Ryan will accept the nomination with little or no disruption from Paul no matter how much you are hoping for it.
So you know for a fact how many delegates Ron Paul has, huh.
You also know he's doing his own convention in Tampa, right?
I'm on Ron Paul's Campaign for Liberty mailing list...and you are too, right?

I know that you are changing the topic to prevent discussion about Biden.  You are well known for stifling discussion harmful to dems and liberals by doing this.

No. We're talking about disruptions of the GOP convo. You'd like to pretend only Biden will do that.

He's not.

 :applause:

And it kinda looks Romneyish, too.

Guess what--Rachel Maddow covered this aspect just tonight, saying that Ron Paul has over 200 delegates although he hasn't won a single state. The GOP is scrambling to make last-minute changes to convention rules to do something--ANYTHING--about Ron Paul.  We'll just see just how much of a straw man Ron Paul is.  He's a 200+ delegate strong straw man.  :woot:

And to think that you think only Biden's gonna make waves.  :rotfl:

Why should I prove Rachel Maddow? I don't have access to her research department.

However, I AM *as I said* on Ron Paul's mailing list.

How 'bout we just wait to see what transpires at the GOP convention, then.  I know I'll be watching the delegate voting in particular.  :woot:

I already implied we wait when I told you what will happen. That remedial class is finally working out for you.

This was a diversion for you because Biden is an embarrassment.

I may have to add this sentiment to the rabbit hole.

Biden nixes Tampa trip because of Tropical Storm Isaac

With local and state authorities scrambling to prepare for the possible affects of Tropical Storm Isaac, the Obama campaign announced late Friday that Biden will not visit Tampa Monday to provide what would have been political counter-programming in the host city of the Republican National Convention.

So throwing in a visit by the vice president, which requires a significant use of local law enforcement and federal authorities, would only add to the mix.
