http://www.globalresearch.ca/unlimited-imperialism-us-expansionism-and-the-crimes-of-war/5314896

this is by professor boyle-he's awesome!

so nothing to say about this, you two-really? the truth so often hits this quiet wall of denial, i've noticed. everywhere-no matter where it is verbalized it is met with silence. i guess because it is such a HARD TRUTH-we r all responsible for this ugly- some more than others. as we fail to hold the most egregious players accountable-WE become more and more culpable as a society.

i think this IS the reason for these seemingly unexplained, without 'motive' atrocities being experienced across the globe- aurora, conneticut, china, washington, etc. the motive (whether the perp is conscious of it or not) is the hatred of the system(capitalism/free market) that crushes some, and many now, seemingly w/o a care, that is supported by a non-caring, non-thinking society. so they hate society/the masses, eventually, and take it out on the most vulnerable and innocent (children), or the shoppers/oblivious (the mall), or the head-in-the-sand deniers (movie goers).

i am not defending them really (i do pity them and am angered for their victims) but i do think there is a correlation. the cheapening of life in general is causing this more and more.

12/13/12 Bringing War Criminals To Justice, by Andrew Sullivan, The Daily Beast. "Earlier today the European Court of Human Rights ruled unanimously in favor of Khaled el-Masri, a German man abducted in Macededonia and tortured by the CIA. ... But the major point here is that the European Court of Human Rights - representing countless key allies - has named the US as a country that has practiced torture, in violation of its Treaty obligations, and international and domestic law. War crimes were permitted and committed and a country that allows war crimes to go unpunished has essentially abandoned the rule of law. When will Obama reinstate that rule of law? He has constantly said he wants to look forward, not back. But the US and the West cannot move forward until we have looked back, and repaired the breach in civilization and law that president George W. Bush created. "

another statement from the above piece -

"...So now, we will see how complicit our current president wants to be in perpetuating and legitimizing war crimes, in defiance of the Geneva Conventions:

The A.C.L.U. is representing Mr. Masri in a case against the United States now before the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights. The petition was filed in 2008 and the United States government has yet to respond..."
i've been wondering this too-i know it's tough to go against these 'forces' but it is time and obomba's in the driver's seat-unfortunately for him...all things considered. he could truly make history in the same way civil rights made history, and new deal, etc. otherwise he'll just end up looking sorta pathetic -trying to 'please' people who don't deserve pleasing, caving in to monstrous, and fearful, moneyed, people-calling it 'pragmatism'and 'compromise' when in fact it is just getting from point A to point B (thru the office) intact-obviously. i'm rooting for you to finally do something for a real change for the 'people' obomba-will u? selling our med system to the ins. companies ain't it, either.

i always half suspect that presidents-especially of late -get guns put their heads (or their families)-somewhere soon after taking office to make them act like something diff from what they are when campaigning or before.
