Give this some thought. Compare the the trend line of prices in the most highly regulated industries to the trend line of prices in unregulated industries.
Highly regulated: Health care, banking, finance, housing, cell phone service providers, etc.
All industries necessarily domestic.
Unregulated: Computer hardware, consumer electronics, cell phone manufacturers, etc.
All industries that have been outsourced to avoid regulation, particularly of the hour/wage/safety/child labor variety.
