They shouldn't have to show one until everyone has one first.

There's nothing wrong with an ID requirement as such, but passing such a law that doesn't call for a year's worth of grace period in which the state issues all of its citizens such an ID first is a crock of bollocks.

Look at it this way.  Such a law assists all citizens by facilitating their right to travel [by air].

Not only that, such a law would assist all citizens in obtaining a library card!
And here I t hought you believed in smaller government. You keep thinking up a whole raft of reasons to grow government. Go figure.
