We're past a tipping point but not for those reasons.

We're past the tipping point with the cancer known as the 2-party system and we're past the tipping point of reliability of polls. There is a new paradigm in place but it's the failure of traditional capitalism which has put us there. It's the acknowledgement that the numbers used by power brokers to figure out who is going to be in power without waiting for the election to take place are false. We The People have had it up to here with libs and cons alike.  You betcha we're past a tipping point, but just as cons have proven to be clueless when they didn't see a market crash coming, they're just as clueless when it comes to tipping points of other sorts as well.

And the libs are equally clueless.
