Kentay of course just produces the same old list of left wing talking points. He doesn't address the basic question of what happens when a society gets to the point where the few are forced be the many to carry them on their backs.

Clara on the other hand, thinks things will be better if there just more political parties.  As I have noted before, we already have a long list of political parties, they just don't get taken seriously.  I don't see how this solves anything.  I guess it would if political parties determined human nature but I'm betting that human nature best describes human nature.

I'm just afraid that if when you take all of the people receiving monthly checks from the government, add the ranks of the Democrat party plus those people who are ignorant or uninterested, and the numbers get so big that they cannot be stopped.

Reminds me of that old saying: Democracy must be more than two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for dinner.

Many of us have shared Hinderaker's concerns for a long time, fearing, for example, that the whole point of Obamacare was to create an entitlement that would finally make every citizen dependent upon the government.  The Democrats think that this will bind voters to them forever.  Whether this has occurred.... well, I guess we'll have a clearer idea on November 7th.
