Donni,

It's hard to tell with posts like this whether the poster is the author of the words or the poster just pasted in the words of somebody else.

From this I gather you are a woman?  I wouldn't have guessed that from your earlier posts Donni.

The message seems to me that you expected that allowing women to vote would fundamentally change the nature mankind and because it didn't you're unhappy.

Was that a realistic expectation?  Specifically what did you expect would change?

starting from the quote marks down is someone else's thoughts on someone else's thoughts-the pertinent remarks for me were the ones i copied in red.

I did not expect anything-i wasn't even a twinkle in my dad's eye yet when women 'won' the vote. i am merely pointing out it did not do what those who won it thought it would or those who defend it's record now-so why do they?

i can't even defend the voracity of having the vote-it doesn't seem to CHANGE anything-obomba's election proved that. :(

what about my other posts' had you thinking otherwise?

Men have always controlled everything,
Everything whether good, bad or evil since the beginning of man, was started by and implemented by men regardless of skin color or religions. It's as if men have ignored women and have treated them as second class citizens no matter what religion or culture they live in. No persons or groups of persons is right all the time and if allowed to continue in our country will make more and more mistake. Because it will be slanted to benefit man and against anyone of different color, religion or women. Without both genders and people of color having their point of view expressed is the only way we can change our country and the world for the better. If only single thinking biased men stay in control they will continue to treat anyone different from them and we all will be treated as a second class persons and only used to service them and increased their own heirs. Instead of being a Democracy will have something like a two class society and they will be our king. This also applies to those who wrote our religious books were men not women and were and still are biased with mans best interest and their own manly mentality for active or inactive wars, controlling us with their faulty religious views I always thought that the USA was different and was slowly improving the rights, interest and authority of minority including those of different gender who are US citizen. Right now it looks like the men on the right are unwilling to share power with anyone and are surly arming themselves for a civil war that is sure to come as they wrap themselves in the American Flag under the false umbrella of religion dogma.   kentay

It's worthwhile to also point out that this fact is what makes women in non-traditional professions to dislike the patronage of trade unions, myself included.  There are cons who think that all libs support all unions...and they'd be wrong, because of the truth of kentay's statement here.
