But, woody, we've long known that liberals oppose free speech.  We see it time and again, this is just the latest episode.  Oh, but Chicago radio this afternoon is indicating that Rahmbo is trying to back off.

Any chance kentay might follow??

Nope.  These guys are not liberals.  They are progressives.
A reminder for kentay:
I fully support going back to ALL, that says ALL THE CLINTON TAX and spend policies that led to the economic boom in the second half of the 90's.

Ya, I've heard talking head cons whine about how this was supposedly unconstitutional.  Same guys who claim that stuff that isn't specifically named in the Constitution has no Constitutional protection.

 :hogwash:

But free speech IS specifically named!
So what if it is? Free speech never was a corporate operation entitlement program. That's a huge non sequitur on your part.

Clara, could you post the exact quote from Cathy and explain exactly what group he is allegedly discriminating against.  Then could you post all of the discrimination lawsuits that have been filed against the company?

Thanks!

It's a request that has nothing to do with what I said.

Besides, you seem to know him better than I do. How 'bout you do those honors. I just report what I see.

ROTFLMFAO!

Yeah, right.  You have not seen anything.  Just repeating what you have been told.  What was that you said about links?  Oh yeah, without them you are just pontificating.

As usual, the left, led by Clara, has nothing.   But I expect that now.

What do you mean, "So what if it is"?  The owner of the company has First Amendment rights.  The government cannot deny the company operating permits because elected politicians disapprove of his political opinions.

Do you wish it were otherwise?

Yes i do, I just don't support any businesses that discrimination against a segment of the society I live in and I think officials have that right to block any public business that discriminates for a civil society within a community. Do you?

What does the First Amendment say about officials blocking businesses based upon the opinions of the owners?

What does our beloved Constitution say about Governors and or City officials that keep the peace and block Businesses like a Bar or adult sex shop from, setting up within a community? kentay

kentay, why are you climbing out on this limb?  If it weren't for the First Amendment, Rahmbo would be denying permits to Romney supporters.

So, why is kentay ignoring the questions directed to him in this thread while starting his own on the same topic, eh?

How's this for left-wing hypocrisy?

" Emanuel blasted Cathy, saying that his values "aren't Chicago's values" and agreed with Alderman Joe Moreno's vow to block another Chick-Fil-A restaurant from opening in Chicago.
Yet the next day, Emanuel welcomed Louis Farrakhan and his Nation of Islam for assistance battling Chicago's crime. Apparently Farrakhan's legendary antisemitism is a "Chicago value" -- but what about Farrakhan's own stance against same sex marriage?"

The Founding Fathers established the first Dept. of Homeland Security. They called it "a Well Regulated Militia."

But Louis IS an exemplar of "Chicago Values".  (He has a really nice house, too.  Four blocks from O's, and much nicer!)

kentay, here's one more opportunity to publicize your support of our beloved First Amendment.
