We should never forget our civil war and the people who died because of the discrimination they held in their hearts and those who died to stop the discrimination.

I'm pretty sure the civil war was about slavery, not discrimination.  Kentay you seem to have the two confused.  There is a very big difference between forcing a man to labor for another's benefit (slavery) and one man simply choosing not to engage in commerce with another (discrimination).

Also, do you want to make everything that's wrong, illegal?  People do wrong things all day long. Its wrong to take the lord's name in vain.  It's wrong to covet thy neighbor's wife. It's wrong to worship other gods.  It's wrong to commit adultery.  There are lots and lots of things that are wrong, the question is; should they be illegal?  Should people be fined for committing these wrongs?  Should people be sent to prison for doing wrong?

...

So, in your opinion, slavery didn't involve any discrimination.

Slavery is the product of Racism and Racism is the product of Discrimination and Intolerance. . Discrimination doesn't always lead to Slavery for example the USA and the Indians but it led to the closes thing to slavery. When we stole the best land from the Indians and isolated them to reservation strictly enforced by our Government and military. I can never prove it but I doubt they would have been treat that way had they been white and would not have been called savages just like Blacks were. Our country is a great country that could be the greatest ever, if we could get past of the Discrimination and rid our people both white and of color hang over for the treatment of the Black, Indians and other minorities that have come to this country since our birth as a nation. As long as we tolerate the Discrimination and intolerances,  we as a country will never reach our full potential and greatness, in my opinion.  kentay

Of course it involves discrimination but discrimination doesn't automatically lead to slavery any more than arguments automatically lead to murder.

If you kill somebody it's murder, if you force somebody to work for you it's slavery.  If you have an argument with somebody it's an argument but no substantial harm is done.  If you discriminate against somebody, it's lost business.
