Ladies, this video from the Guttmacher Institute explains how contraception can make all the difference in the world for us to control our own bodies, our own reproduction, and our own lives. And in case you haven't yet heard, something amazing happened this week:

Beginning today, up to 47 million women may be eligible to get free access to preventive health care services as that provision of President Barack Obama's Affordable Care Act goes into effect.

Even after all the right-wing snarling and gnashing of teeth, we have real women's health care, basic, preventive, life-saving health care.

Already covered under the law are other free preventive services for women recommended by the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force, including mammograms every 1-2 years for women over 40, cervical cancer screenings and prenatal care.
There are still many women out there who need affordable access to health care, but 47 million is one heck of a start.
This is such big news for women that it seems one Republican congressman wants to make August 1st a national holiday!
Here's what Pennsylvania Rep. Mike Kelly (R) had to say:

"I know in your mind you can think of times when America was attacked. One is December 7th, that's Pearl Harbor day. The other is September 11th, and that's the day of the terrorist attack," Kelly said at a press conference on Capitol Hill. "I want you to remember August the 1st, 2012, the attack on our religious freedom. That is a day that will live in infamy, along with those other dates."

Pearl Harbor, 9/11, and the day the right-wing lost control of 47 million vaginas! Never forget, ladies. Never forget.
Republican Campaign Mantra:
We turned over a real mess to President Obama, he hasn't cleaned it up fast enough, so give us another chance to  create a depression.

Don't you mean the war on who is forced to pay for women's health services?
A reminder for kentay:
I fully support going back to ALL, that says ALL THE CLINTON TAX and spend policies that led to the economic boom in the second half of the 90's.

I don't care that private insurance carries such things.  That is a free market choice.  I do care that an alleged liberal government is forcing business to sell a service that goes against their religious convictions.

That is the issue kentay.

PS.  Insurance companiesnthatbserve catholic interests DO NOT provide vasectomy coverage.

You're an old man aren't you? Why don't you ask yourself?
The Founding Fathers established the first Dept. of Homeland Security. They called it "a Well Regulated Militia."

Exodus 8:32  And Pharaoh hardened his heart at this time also, neither would he let the people go.

Thanks for asking. It just all my life I have tried to guarded my heart from becoming hardened by the pressures and pleasures of the world, because my eternal soul is the greatest thing I own. In the above Verse It was the Pharaoh whose heart was so harden that even after seeing the power of God he refused to let the people go.  A person heart can become callused and harden, because of greed, selfishness, hate, love of money, sex, love, and all of the passion of man. So each person is responsible for themselves and must listen to the inner voice and not let your heart become so harden you no longer here the voice. Kentay

In respect to who pays for Birth Control, abortions, abortaficients, etc no one is trying to control women.  That is the big manufactured lie of Jan.  We are trying to control who pays for it.

If you want I can go back and dig up all of you rants about the wall of separation.

You're saying that there is an existing Federal government mandate that private insurance must cover ****, Cialis, Vasectomies and other male sexual problems?  Who knew?   :hairfire:
