Republicans Pull a Wrong Way Corrigan?
« on: August 10, 2012, 09:11:49 pm »
Oh, the outrage! Oh, the humanity! Republicans spend big bucks repudiating the ad about the guy who "blames Romney for his wife's death" as oh so unfair!

...spending money on refuting ... "refudiating"?...an ad that Rachel Maddow just said hadn't aired yet.

Democrat expense: $0.
Republican expense: $bigmoney
Talk of the week: Democrat ad that hasn't bought airtime yet while nobody talks about Republican ads already aired and paid for.
Effect: priceless.

What is even better is an ad that hasn't run yet has hurt Obama's credibility.  Thanks priorities USA!

It wasn't an Obama ad, so I don't see how you connect those two dots. You must have taken the scenic route.

Lmao!  True to **** form Clara defends Obama who refuses to condemn the ad.

Oh, and you really do not want to connect the dots concerning the hierarchy of that PAC and the fact that they all have worked for the administration and the campaign at one time or another.  You also do not want to connect the dots concerning the fact the the man told his story to the campaign in march and the campaign denied it until yesterday.

Connecting the dots is not a game you will win here.

No one on either side take the legalities seriously.  Romney and O both have to take the heat for the stuff their super-PAC's put out.

In this case you have the appearance of coordination if not the act of coordination.

They almost always "appear" to be coordinated, because no super-PAC would continue an ad campaign which its candidate denounced.

In this case you throw in the element of the man on a conference call telling his story to the official campaign heads and a few months later you have a Super PAC ad.

The problem with your theory is that the ad which the Romney camp puts out outrage about hasn't been put out on the airwaves or even cable at all.  Sure they take the heat for the stuff super-PACs put out there, but this is a case where O is taking heat for what hasn't been put out there.

And it's the Romney camp's putting outrage out there that gives it such free airing that they've actually paid the cost of putting it out there.  Romney just paid for giving the opposition's super-PAC free air time.   :applause:

I was making a general statement.

Just watched Debbie Downer (W-S) deny that Obama's super-PAC had any connection to Obama or the Democrats.  Honestly, this simply makes her look like a liar, and a poor one at that.  I still find it hard to believe that O comes out on top with this one.
