What the pick of Ryan does is helps Romney with Conservatives and the Tea Party. While it does hurt with women and seniors, I am guessing it only is going to hurt in states Romney was going to lose anyway.
Welcome, glenfs!

How does choosing Ryan "hurt with seniors and women"? It hurts with liberals, but they're not part of the target audience.
Oh, I can answer that question easily: seniors don't like what Ryan plans to do with Medicare, and Ryan's anti-women's health especially when it comes to abortion and birth control, as he's fully intending to force his religion on every woman in the nation with his plan.
Re Medicare, I understand that what you say is the conventional wisdom. It may be right; however, I really doubt that I am the only senior or soon-to-be-senior who worries about Medicare running out of money while I'm still alive. We know that part of the financing for Obamacare was to steal from Medicare. Are older voters really stupid enough to fall for O's platitudes which guarantee the eventual collapse of the scheme? We'll see!
Re women, are you seriously unaware that somewhere between 35-50% of women are opposed to abortion?
I am aware that the 35% end of that spectrum of numbers is an overstatement, and you're just skating over the birth control issue, which puts the kibosh on the Ryan plan all by itself.
The Ryan Plan doesn't mess with current or soon-to-be seniors, so your personal situation is a non-issue as well. And nobody steals from Medicare except fraudulent medics, hospitals and nursing homes.
What is "the birth control issue", in your view?
Yes, my personal situation is a non-issue if the Ryan Plan is implemented. If, on the other hand, nothing is done [per O], then the system will collapse while I am still living. G-d willing.
