To me what Romney said sums up today's Republican Party. They have a mindset that only the top people deserve everything because they are elite movers and the rest of us are just cogs in a wheel for them to use. I think back to the greatest generation and other generations and compare them to the  latest in-charge generation over the last 30 years. Today's Republicans and some Democrats are selfish self-serving hypocrites who are greedy, start wars and will not serve in the wars they started and love. They think the rest of us are only a necessary inconvenience they have to put up with. They are not like  us who believe it takes a village and that we are all interconnected. That everything I have gained in this world both intellectually and physically I gained because of others. Starting with my parents, the country I was born into, the color of my skin and my sex. After that I owe everything to those people who came before me, who built the roads, made the laws, built the schools, provided the jobs, volunteered to fight in a world war, and did so much for this country and all of us living today. It took a village not the selfish, greedy self-centeredness of today's leaders who do nothing for our country to make this better for all of us like those that came before us did. Kentay

I don't love wars and I didn't support any of our most recent wars and when I was in the military (75-79) there were no wars going on.

Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country.

That's just a line from a speech.  The best thing a person can do for their country is not be a load.

As I've said many times Kentay, I believe it is my responsibility to help those who cannot help themselves. I don't believe it is my responsibility to force my neighbor, by threat of imprisonment, to give to those who I feel are needy.  Please tell me if you understand my point Kentay.

Oh, and I do think a bit less of Romney for not serving in the military but then Obama didn't serve either.

My brother-in-law is a school bus driver in a small town outside of Augusta, Georgia.  He takes credit for LOTS of stuff, but I've never heard him claim that school honor rollees owe it all to him!

Thanks WBC, but even though you jest I really feel what I wrote and if you really knew me over time you know i truly believe what I write.  I been this way most of my life. I love my fellow man and I sometimes really feel guilty i can't do more, because I have been so lucky and don't know why. I know this question wasn't directed at me but I'll answer anyway because this is an open forum.

I'm voting for Romney/Ryan because they will grow the government at a slower pace than Obama/Biden.  I believe the in the Dennis Prager axiom: The bigger the government, the smaller the citizen.
