Seniors Still Need Print Media
« on: August 18, 2012, 04:16:35 pm »
This is a gem I just got in my emailbox this morning:

Quote
I was visiting my son last night when I asked if I could borrow a newspaper.
'This is the 21st century, my son said. 'I don't waste money on newspapers. Here, you can borrow my iPad.'
I can tell you this, that fly never knew what hit him.

There is not as much truth to that as some people believe.  Many, perhaps the majority, are now using computers.  They may not be a computer wiz, but they are doing pretty good.

Now me, for example.... I have become an expert at being banned from forums.  It didnt take me long to pile up oodles of experience at it.  In fact, when I join a new forum, the administrator has to program in a new "Banned" button so he/she can hit it quickly and my computers go up in smoke, like on the old Mission Impossible Program.

You know, "Good morning Mister Phelps, this disc will self destruct in five seconds."

Anyway, I will be a good boy here.....   Now, I am off for my regular Saturday Chinese Food dinner.  I am a Chinese Food fanatic, although the Chinese food here in Phoenix sucks compared to what I grew up with in New York and Boston.  Pizza out here aint no bargain either.

Nah. This is the Land of the Banned--we're all bad here.  And we know how nutzo some partisans can be regardless of aisle side.  Be as bad as ya like...be yourself....just don't get us or the host into legal trouble is all.  That sums up the rules right there, although there are a few housekeeping rules and a flameproof Rubber Room in case of flamethrowing emergencies.

The only people who get banned here are spammers, hackers, and the illicit. Knock yerself out. :)

Just wanna say that all the action is at this place on the board...

It's a presidential election year, so that's where the party's at. By all means, c'mon over.

Young people have the greatest information tool the world has ever invented and developed. The problem I see it is they don't have an inquisitive mind to look up history they will only go to what's popular among them and repeat the past failures of history. It's like have a historical museum next door to where you live that has all of the worlds history and knowledge and you never just go in and browse, you just go to the video game and music section and play and listen, what a waste. kentay

Republican Campaign Mantra:
We turned over a real mess to President Obama, he hasn't cleaned it up fast enough, so give us another chance to  create a depression.
