On this subject kentay will get nothing but agreement from me.

I have this argument with GOP advocates of criminalizing abortion all the time.  I understand their moral fervor but the fact remains that there is no way in hell that the country will ever do what they want.  By pushing the issue they are simply facilitating our subjugation to the likes of Barack Obama, Dingy Harry, and Nancy Pelosi.

Rep. Ryan, Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from 1999 to present

Rep. Paul Ryan has a long anti-choice record from his years in Congress.

I just think that women are getting fed up with men telling them what to do and trying to control every aspect of their lives. Men have always made the laws and in so doing they always looked out for self and the hell with everyone else. I just don't see how any women that has not been brainwashed by men could ever vote for two men so anti women in everything including equal pay for equal work, abortion, personhood. These are just a few of the things my women friends tell me they are fed up about.  I am really excited to see who women elect in November 2012.  I pray that Hillary runs in 2016 and shows this male dominated world that women are their equals and maybe superior to today's prehistoric men.     kentay

I am unaware of any significant male/female split on the subject of abortion.

The GOP war on women continues

August 01, 2012

Our view: Republican effort to limit DC abortion rights reveals that for all the talk of limited government and a focus on fiscal restraint, limiting women's choice, even to the victims of **** and incest, remains high on the party's agenda

There has always been something truly unseemly about the desire of conservatives in Congress to assert their control over the residents of the District of Columbia. Not only because it represents a white and male-dominated culture forcing its values on a city of more than 617,000 (more than half of whom are black and an even higher percentage female), but it runs so blatantly counter to the GOP's alleged preference for a hands-off federal government.

Tuesday's vote by the House of Representatives over a proposed ban on abortion for all District women after 20 weeks of pregnancy, even those who are the victims of **** and incest, surely represents a new low for this plantation mentality. The measure lost but only because at 220-154, it lacked the two-thirds majority required under a suspension of the rules, a curious use of procedure by Republican leadership that limited debate and assured supporters they'd accomplish only a show vote for the benefit of anti-abortion supporters.

It's the noise going on within the editorial board of the Baltimore Sun.  Why don't you provide attributions?  And why do you start new threads or post crude agitprop rather than actually respond to what anybody else is saying?  ted and I have a long list of stuff which you diverted or ignored.
