Bullshit.  I have been reading the propaganda both you and kentay have been parroting for many years, dating back to AO.  If what Aiken said was part of the platform you looney dembots would have posted it over the years.  Kentay would have had a minimum 10,000 cut and pastes about it and you, Maria and donni would have whined about it.  I have NEVER heard anything so ridiculous.

But no, wall to wall coverage of it is nothing but bias.  There are far more important items that concern the republic.  Yes, talk about it.  But the lead story on every newscast for two days then hours of discussion?  No **** wonder the country is in the shape we are in.  J

woody, this issue has the potential to kill us.  If voters fear that a Romney Administration might succeed in bringing legal abortion to an end, I guarantee there won't be a Romney Administration.

A mixed response:

http://www.thenation.com/blog/168071/are-most-americans-really-pro-life

Yeah, for once The Nation confirms my point.  The terms "pro-life" and "pro-choice" are meaningless pablum.  There is nothing remotely close to a majority willing to criminalize abortion.  Look at what happened to the anti-abortion referenda in South Dakota and Mississippi.  Neither vote was close.  If this stuff can't pass in South Dakota or Mississippi, where is it supposed to pass?

Truer words were never spoken, because in talking about this we can talk about the GOP platform and that particular plank in it that has been voted in since 2008 at least.

Further, on top of the Tea Party revolt, the GOP now has to deal with the Akin revolt--and the one thing Akin's correct about is that he represents his equally nutty constituents who have been cultivated by the GOP since 'way back and what's running the GOP is, well, "party bosses".

Dems already had 2 revolts (Howard Dean and Barak Obama) but they still need a better shakeup too. Their turn is coming.

The GOP is trying to herd too many cats in one direction to win this time around.
