Romney could lose in 2012.  He's got some problems:

1. He wealthier that most everybody else and the Obama campaign will be doing all they can to rev-up envy in the voters.
2. He has a wooden personality.
3. He's not a member of a preferred minority.
4. Stupid, disinterested, and ignorant people overwhelmingly vote for democrats.
5. Ryan's entrance made the campaign one of substance but many voters don't like substance, they like empty rhetoric.

So Obama may win the personality contest of 2012 but think ahead 4 years.  Romney will not run again because you get one shot as the nominee then the next guy in line gets-a-go at it but who's that next guy?  Paul Ryan.  Who will the democrats be fielding after a decade of recessions and glacial-like economic growth?  None other than Slow Joe Biden.

2016 could be the biggest rout in history.

Yes; there are a few new parties on the sidelines which will be ready to step in and I think the people are finally waking up to the fact the two party system does not work.

That's just wishful thinking.  More parties would just produce more unhappy voters because even fewer people would get to see their own party's guy elected.  More parties means fewer people in each party.  Since only one party wins, fewer people get their wish.

Leftists think that way as do the uninformed and the addle-minded but wise people know that the fundamental problem is that the federal government has assumed too much power and control in every area.

Kentay,

Did you forget you posted an identical response here:

My head already hurts from reading the nonsense that you plagiarize but do we have to be subjected to the blather twice?

Goodness, I thought this thread might be about Dinesh D'Souza's new propaganda movie.  Perhaps this is a good time to bring that up, too?

===================================

I just watched the trailer, and the movie whines about how Obama wants to make the U.S. government smaller, while the way to go is "grow so that liberty grows".

The man never groked the con principle of smaller government and his whining can be applied to the aspirations of cons.  :applause:

But it's not just conservative ideas with respect to morality that have failed. The most conservative states in the country are also the poorest.

Not smaller, weaker.  Large at home, small elsewhere.

You didn't write the trailer script. Sorry.

You're right; I did not write the script. I did however see mister D'Souza interviewed about his film and that IS the point he is making.

For some reason Piers Morgan had Penn Jillette helping him with this interview and while I normally find a lot of common ground with Jillette, this time D'Souza made the better argument.
