Bain snookered a lot of people, didn't they. Are any of those running for President, though?

It looks like Mitt Romney has done more for working people than Obama. Obama just puts working people and their children in debt and uses the money to create jobs overseas.
The Founding Fathers established the first Dept. of Homeland Security. They called it "a Well Regulated Militia."

Republican Campaign Mantra:
We turned over a real mess to President Obama, he hasn't cleaned it up fast enough, so give us another chance to  create a depression.

It's unfortunate that one of Obama's top bundles, Jonathan Levine, was running Bain during this timeframe.

Hey, kentay, when you're trying to divert, and change the subject, why are you ashamed to label your agitprop with a link to the source at "thinkprogress"?

So how many Democratic and other left beneficiaries have benefitted from entrusting their funds to Bain Capital?

I'm talking about how all of those on the list are retirement FUND PACKAGES, of which Bain is not the ONLY stock in the bundles.

Quote
* Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund ($2.2 million)
* Indiana Public Retirement SystemRetirement System ($177.1 million)
* The Los Angeles Fire and Police Pension System ($19.5 million)
* Maryland State Retirement and Pension SystemRetirement System of Nevada ($20.3 million)
* State Teachers Retirement SystemRetirement SystemRetirement System of Rhode Island ($25 million)
* San Diego County Employees Retirement Association ($23.5 million)
* Teacher Retirement System of Texas ($122.5 million)
* Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System ($15 million)

...and those packages were handled by a financial institution such as Edward Jones, Fidelity Funds, Vanguard, Franklin Templeton, etc. who chose the individual companies in any given portfolio that they sell. People who are against big oil still wind up with shares in big oil anyway when buying such packages.

Wait a minute.  You're trying to tell us that statewide public worker retirement and pension funds were "tricked" into investing with Bain Capital by a gaggle of retail brokerage firms like Edward Jones?  Are you serious??

I guess out one side of your mouth you comfortably accept such profit while condemning it out of the other.

Nice.

Wrong. I'm saying that when anybody buys any financial fund product as a package, they don't get to pick and choose what's in it or not.  There are some individual fund products that allow an individual to add stocks to a portfolio, or drop what stock they've added, but they can't alter the stocks of the package they bought.

I am amazed that you're not familiar with even the basics of investment fund portfolios.

Bullshit.  A person has the right to find another fund, research where their money is going, or put limits on where it can go.

Your excuse holds no merit.

Woody, you continue to amaze me with how little you know about fund portfolios.  If they had gone anywhere else for a retirement package, they would have gotten the same set of Fortune 500 companies by sector, just like you'd get if you bought a "Dow diamonds" portfolio, silly.
