Diversity of Thought at the Democratic Convention

If you presume to declare that the Dems have no diversity you're definitely going to have to pay attention to the whole DNC convo; unless and until you do, you are not in any position to judge.  The DNC is inclusive of all religions including atheists, which the RNC is not, and as you can see, the atheists did get significant say before they lost that platform tussle. Are they going to defect to the Republican camp?  Not only no, but HELL NO.

I take it you also didn't catch that closing ceremony where the evening benediction was conducted by a rabbi.

Yeah--you have no basis to claim either presence or absence of diversity of any sort in the DNC. You didn't even notice that the Cherokee Nation sent delegates to cast Oklahoma's votes for Obama, not anyone of European stock.  Picture this: Oklahoma's delegation from the Cherokees nominating the first Cherokee President of the United States.  Sweet irony, that.

I read somewhere that he was Monica Lewinsky's rabbi!  The RNC featured an invocation by Rabbi Meir Soleveichik, so what is your point?

I'm still waiting for you, or kentay, or anybody, to point out any intellectual diversity.  The closest you've come is to reference the apparent atheist strain of the delegate body.

Obama had some diversity of thoughts. One day he thought it was a good idea to take God out of the Democratic platform. Then a couple days later he had a differing thought that God should be put back in. So, they had to have a vote which produced diverse thoughts from the delegates who thought they had voted to keep God out, and the Obama controlled leadership who thought that two thirds had voted to put God back.
