Any Nazi reference by either party renders the party repulsive. It's not persuasive no matter who uses it. Yes, we should learn from history but people with agendas will have a pet version of that history in particular; the idea of learning from this particular piece of history is to learn "never again", but we've since had a number of genocides take place nonetheless. It's as if the Holocaust victims have already died in vain because that history has indeed been repeated, more than once.  There are more current examples of what Goebbles did, especially in the Rwandan genocide, and to focus exclusively on nazis pretends that all other more recent genocides don't matter.

They matter very much.
