This is why Romney is not ready for the presidency because he has no experience and it shows besides he is a liar; on his rush to judgment that looks amorously like a political newbe. Even Republicans are saying how bad Romney looks on this kind of rush politics without the facts. kentay

Mitt Romney Criticizes Obama Administration Over Response To Libya, Egypt Attacks
09/12/2012
The campaign of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney called the Obama administration's handling of a violent and contentious day at two American facilities in the Middle East "disgraceful" in a statement released late Tuesday night.

The campaign had initially planned to hold the statement until after midnight -- and the end of the eleventh anniversary of September 11th -- but lifted the embargo an hour and a half early as the controversy flared over a series of attacks against the U.S. Embassy in Cairo and the American Consulate in Benghazi, Libya. The Romney campaign's statement seemed to be an attempt to capitalize on the appearance that the Obama administration -- which has overseen the Arab Spring, and the rise of Islamist governments in both Egypt and Libya -- was capitulating to the sensitivities of an unruly Muslim crowd, rather than backing the right of an American citizen to release a disrespectful film.

But the statement criticized by the Romney campaign came early in the day, before the attacks on the two embassies, and was put out not by the White House, but by the Cairo embassy itself.

You're in trouble when many in your own party say you are wrong and you still don't get it. So there is not much more I can say, when you will not accept your own people post against Romney not being ready for prime time. Maybe you Republicans on this DB just have political blindness, and what you need to do,  is start by watching some other news source that might just clear your eye sight. kentay

Many Americans agree with what Romney said.  I agree.   It was really reaganesque.  Additionally, he at least had the respect to suspend his campaigning.  Ashame the other side didn't.

Romney seems to have a great impact on how the more "experienced" Obama makes decisions in the Whitehouse. For more than 16 hours the Obama administration let stand a statement of apology by the US Embassy in Egypt, for America's 1st Amendment. But a minute after Romney speaks, the Whitehouse throws the Embassy under the bus. How dare Romney show the President how to be presidential.

5:50AM - Cairo Embassy publishes a statement on its website which rejects those who "abuse" free speech. This is a reference to an anti-Islam film, portions of which have been broadcast on TV in Arabic.

10:09PM - The Romney camp sends out a brief statement which reads, "I'm outraged by the attacks on American diplomatic missions in Libya and Egypt and by the death of an American consulate worker in Benghazi. It's disgraceful that the Obama Administration's first response was not to condemn attacks on our diplomatic missions, but to sympathize with those who waged the attacks."

10:10PM - Politico reports an unnamed Obama administration official is disavowing the statement posted on the US Embassy website, claiming it was unauthorized.

The reckless Romney

Why Romney is not ready for prime time because if you wait until you know all the facts before you let your team put words into your mouth, you would known your first take was wrong. Oops you did wait until the next morning when you knew the real facts instead of your non-facts, but what did you do you doubled down because your team told you look weak if you admitted you had made a mistake by jumping and assuming too fast, like you did the night before. The American People wants a president who thinks and make good decision not fast reckless ones like Romney did. kentay

5:28PM - Cairo Embassy tweets out three defensive comments, the last of which doubles down on the initial statement. It reads "3) Sorry, but neither breaches of our compound or angry messages will dissuade us from defending freedom of speech AND criticizing bigotry." To this point there has been no comment, tweet, or statement defending free speech, only the statement/tweet criticizing those who abuse it.

7:00-7:20PM - The Embassy puts out another tweet tripling down on their initial statement. "This morning's condemnation (issued before the protests began) still stands. As does our condemnation of unjustified breach of the Embassy." This tweet is later deleted.

Tell us kentay, why did the Obama Administration take 16 hours to disavow the Embassy statements? Is that a sign of experience?
