Gee, how soon until the fatwa is issued against Bill Maher?

I was wondering when those who discuss the war on women were going to discuss Islam.
The two aren't related even remotely, so don't hold your breath on that.

What the **** are you tokin' this evening?  Not related?  LMMFAO!
Not even remotely related. You're starting to sound like you believe the bullshit in that infamous movie trailer. It's bullshit.

Would you defend Maher were he to be hit with a fatwa for defaming Islam?

Wow!  Clara is saying that women in Islamic countries, particularly those that follow sharia law are treated with the utmost equality as men, are not beaten, are not wearing burkas, do not get in trouble when ****, can divorce their husbands, don't have to walk behind the man, etc, etc etc.

For shizzel?
For shizzel. Burkas aren't mentioned anywhere in the Quran or even in the Hadiths. What that is, is traditional tribal garb not all Muslim women wear, so get used to it. None of that other **** is true of all Muslim women either. When a Muslim announces that women had property ownership rights before Christian women did, and were never property of their husbands like Christian women were, believe it. It's true.

Bill Maher is not a religious right-wing crazy, they are mostly in the hateful Republican Party. Kentay

Bill Maher: [Megiddo, Israel] It seems peaceful, but this is where a lot of people believe the world will end. The irony of religion is that because of its power to divert man to destructive courses, the world actually could come to an end.

Bill Maher: If you believe that the world is going to come to an end - and perhaps any day now - does it not drain one's motivation to improve life on earth while we're here?

Bill Maher: The plain fact is religion must die for mankind to live. The hour is getting very late to be able to indulge in having key decisions made by religious people - by irrationalists - by those who would steer the ship of state, not by a compass, but by the equivalent of reading the entrails of a chicken.

Bill Maher: Rational people, anti-religionists, must end their timidity and come out of the closet and assert themselves. And those who consider themselves only moderately religious really need to look in the mirror and realize that the solace and comfort that religion brings you actually comes at a terrible price.

The hour is getting very late to be able to indulge in having in key decisions made by religious people. By irrationalists, by those who would steer the ship of state not by a compass, but by the equivalent of reading the entrails of a chicken. George Bush prayed a lot about Iraq, but he didn't learn a lot about it. Faith means making a virtue out of not thinking. It's nothing to brag about. And those who preach faith, and enable and elevate it are intellectual slaveholders, keeping mankind in a bondage to fantasy and nonsense that has spawned and justified so much lunacy and destruction. Religion is dangerous because it allows human beings who don't have all the answers to think that they do. Most people would think it's wonderful when someone says, "I'm willing, Lord! I'll do whatever you want me to do!" Except that since there are no gods actually talking to us, that void is filled in by people with their own corruptions and limitations and agendas. And anyone who tells you they know, they just know what happens when you die, I promise you, you don't. How can I be so sure? Because I don't know, and you do not possess mental powers that I do not. The only appropriate attitude for man to have about the big questions is not the arrogant certitude that is the hallmark of religion, but doubt. Doubt is humble, and that's what man needs to be, considering that human history is just a litany of getting **** dead wrong. This is why rational people, anti-religionists, must end their timidity and come out of the closet and assert themselves. And those who consider themselves only moderately religious really need to look in the mirror and realize that the solace and comfort that religion brings you actually comes at a terrible price. If you belonged to a political party or a social club that was tied to as much bigotry, misogyny, homophobia, violence, and sheer ignorance as religion is, you'd resign in protest. To do otherwise is to be an enabler, a mafia wife, for the true devils of extremism that draw their legitimacy from the billions of their fellow travelers. If the world does come to an end here, or wherever, or if it limps into the future, decimated by the effects of religion-inspired nuclear terrorism, let's remember what the real problem was that we learned how to precipitate mass death before we got past the neurological disorder of wishing for it. That's it. Grow up or die.

i know you don't agree with "liberalism is a mental disorder", but there seems to be a mental deficiency with liberals like kentay. Here he is in support of Maher posting quotes that declare himself (kentay) to be irrational.

Oh, kentay is not irrational.  He is not mentally disturbed.  He is not out of touch.  He is in complete control of his faculties.  Kentay is an Internet troll who really isn't looking for topical debate.  He is looking to entertain himself by antagonizing posters on line.  The best way to rile people up is to post some unrealistic political tripe like repubs hate women or cons are racists.  After he sets the hook he not so deftly goes after whichever of us decides to play with him.

If he actually held the beliefs he implies he does then I would be thinking he needed to be institutionalized for his own well being.

I've often considered the possibility that he is a conservative troll posting as he does to make liberals seem stupid. I know that is a bit farfetched, but sometimes it's the only explanation that fits.

Oh, he is no conservative by today's standards.  He is more of an LBJ Type.  But the issues on line are not why he is here.  He just want contentious posts to fill his days.
