Neither. Romney doesn't fool everybody--he doesn't even fool a good chunk of Republicans, either. He certainly won't fool most Republicans that scramble to make sure we all forget Dubya, as he attends a fund-raiser hosted by Dick Cheney.

Every time Romney embraces a Bushie, he's gonna get socked with other reminders of the Bush years. He's got it coming.

Is Tomasky totally insane, or just a shameless tool?  Which is it?

Romney was invited to speak by the NAACP. He accepted and said the exact same thing he's been saying everywhere. Some members there gave him a standing ovation. So, the shameless tools have to come out attacking with the same baseless fear-mongering they use anytime they feel that socialism is being effectively threatened. Can't let those black folk leave the plantation.
One vote for "shameless tool".

Isn't NAACP an organization who's mission is the advancement of a particular race?  It's hard to see how Romney is the bad guy here.

NAACP members who support Obamacare is tone deaf, if not a deliberate attempt to stoke conservative resentment against so-called government freeloaders.

Oh. I see... Its quite alright for you, kentay, to call people who oppose Obamacare, freeloaders, but when someone calls supporters of Obamacare freeloaders it now becomes offensive.

Did you notice this line from the first article you posted?
"and use " But the Aviva Shen article you posted uses the term Obamacare twice. Apparently nobody is really offended by the term and it is only selectively considered an insult when convenient.

If you do a little research you will find that the government itself has reported that the Head Start program has little or no lasting effects.

Basically, if you had two kids, one had Head Start and the other didn't, the Head Start kid would enter preschool more prepared and do better but by the time they hit first grade there is no difference.  Seems like a waste of money to me.

But more importantly, the federal government has no authority to fund such a program.  States do.  The 10th Amendment says that all power is granted to the states except for those powers specifically enumerated in the constitution.  You won't find Head Start mentioned in the constitution.

Under States Rights the Blacks would never had gotten their rights all over this country. It has always been used for some people to control others. I am for the concept of Pre-Kindergarten education  and standards for all children at tax payers expanse, are you? It we really love children and want them to succeed it starts at birth. What is so distasteful to me is some people care more about a fetus than a born child. kentay

Slavery was wrong, is wrong, cannot be tolerated. It is the most basic violation of liberty imaginable. Sadly, the USA does not have an unblemished history.

It we really love children and want them to succeed it starts at birth.

Some people don't love children and shouldn't be forced to love children.  They should simply tolerate children.  Parents overwhelmingly love their own children and should be the primary providers of their care.

I care about the life of the fetus because it grows up to be a baby and then a toddler and then a child and then an adult. What is confounding to me is how somebody can be so concerned about the welfare of babies that have passed through the birth canal and yet think it is just fine for a mother to kill her own child for the sake of convenience.

Ted,  do you have any feeling on Jim Crow and the south? Do you believe people can have different feeling and beliefs and still be Christians? What if anything does this verse below, mean to you? kentay

Genesis 2:7  And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

LMAO!
Asking a shameless tool if someone else is a shameless tool is comical.  :woot:  :woot:
A reminder for kentay:
I fully support going back to ALL, that says ALL THE CLINTON TAX and spend policies that led to the economic boom in the second half of the 90's.
