It's pretty clear that the shooter didn't follow the teachings of Christianity.  If he did he wouldn't have done what he did.  Plain and simple.  So the overall message of these leaders is correct.

That said, the government shouldn't be forcing anyone into a life of faith but it's crystal clear that Christian religion in the USA is a net positive.  The vast majority of Christians are good people who do good things for their fellow man.  There is an occasional bad apple for sure but overall the USA is a better place because of Christianity.

In this particular case I don't think we know the religious background of the shooter yet so there is no reason to weigh-in from that perspective.

It is interesting that in typical fashion the left cannot see the lush green garden of Christianity in front of them because they are totally focused on a leaf with a brown spot.

While getting rid of moderates you now have only one black person in the total in both houses of congress. So long as you insist on injecting race into every discussion, why do you continue to make stuff up?  You may have backed off from your 98% while claim, but 11% other races doesn't allow 90+% white.  But what does any of that have to do with this Jerry Newcombe person's blathering, and what does his blathering have to do with anything else?
